JOB DESCRIPTION
CASHIER
Responsibilities for the cashier include, but are not limited to, the following:
1. Operate point-of-sale terminal
2. Watch for shoplifters and notify appropriate manager
3. Provide customer assistance as necessary
4. Direct customers to appropriate product/department they are looking for
5. Keep checkout area neat and clean
6. Handle incoming telephone calls
7. Price or re-price merchandise as necessary
8. Handle merchandise returns and exchanges within company guidelines
9. Maintain needed forms and stock for cashier area
10. Notify customers when special order or rain check merchandise is ready for pick up
11. Screen credit cards and checks before acceptance
12. Request Helpful Hardware Club Cards or offer customers to join
13. Train new staff in cashier responsibilities
14. Complete daily paperwork within company guidelines
15. Attend store meetings and participate in training as directed
16. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Sales Associates
JOB DESCRIPTION
SALESPERSON
Salespersons are primarily responsible for the stores customer service. These responsibilities include but are not limited to, the following:
Customer service, both on the sales floor, in assigned departments, on the telephone and at the register
Knowledge of both inventory and price of items
Change price tags and bin tags as needed
Responsible for customer concerns within the store's policy and procedures guidelines
Understanding of the store's overall goals and how you fit into and affect them
Knowledge of register and other equipment

Helpful Hardware Club
Receiving and stocking of merchandise
In store display as assigned by management
Watch for shoplifters and notify appropriate management
Attend store meetings and participate in training as directed

The Keyholder is an hourly position that is instrumental in the operation of our stores during the absence of store management. This person usually oversees the operation of a department along with the daily retail operation of the store. Along with management, Keyholders inusre the highest standards of customer service and direct those projects and responsibilities delegated by the store manager. Keyholders act as a liaison to other employees and set the example of quality expectations.Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

ASSISTANT STORE MANAGER TRAINEE
