We are seeking a full-time B2B Outside Salesperson to join our team - candidate with paint knowledge preferred!

Position requires 80% local travel!

The B2B Outside Sales position is responsible for assisting with the growth of B2B business in the designated market.



Job Description

Essential Duties:

 Business Development

  • Makes sales calls and customer site visits on a daily basis
  • Seeks out incremental business opportunities with new and existing customers.
  • Establishes and maintains customer relationships to grow profitable sales.
  • Follows-up on all generated quotes to assure that the customer is being serviced and to document the outcome of the proposed solution.
  • Takes responsibility for maintaining margin and generating profitable sales orders.
  • Maintains record of all activities and their outcomes in Sales Force
  • Assists stores in assigned area with their B2B efforts.

Market Development

  • Develop and maintain a sales forecast to help analyze market conditions and/or changes in assigned territory for maximum productivity and sales growth.
  • Implement a sales plan to support sales and profitability goals.
  • Stay current on existing and new product and technologies.
  • Introduces and demonstrates new products to assigned accounts.
  • Reports competitive conditions and feedback from customers and market to management.
  • Cooperates with qualified suppliers and internal merchandising team to secure mutual business through joint calls.
  • Encourages and assists in the training and development of store personnel regarding B2B activities and sales
  • Fulfills customer needs for current literature, catalogs, product pricing, etc.
  • Informs customers of all relevant company policies/procedures and initiatives. Reports customer comments to management.
  • Works with sales team to continuously improve processes and results

Personal Development

  • Maintains ethical, cooperative manufacturer and customer relationships consistent with company culture and goals.
  • Attends product training classes to develop and maintain superior product knowledge
  • Executes sales efforts in an ethical and professional manner
  • Maintains a flexible work schedule given stores’ operating hours
  • Routinely communicates schedule to market stores, District Manager and Sales Team.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Ability:

Must be able to read and interpret documents.

 

Math Ability:

Must have the math ability to create reporting showing sales performance, margin analysis and other aspects of sales.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Should be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; also be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills:

Must have experience with Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, Word and Outlook. Preferred use of Sales Force.

 

Certificates and Licenses:

Must have current, valid driver’s license
