Payroll Administrator

Corporate Office (Springfield, MA) • Corporate Position • Reports To Manager of Administration

We are seeking a full-time Payroll Administrator to join our team!

Performs all activities to process multi-state payroll including maintaining related records; ensures processes and procedures are compliant with state and federal payroll regulations.  



Job Description

Essential Functions

  • Administration of bi-weekly multi-state payroll; review approved timesheets to ensure accuracy; track and deduct all garnishments and other special payroll deductions
  • Audit new hire paperwork and ensure integrity of information
  • Comply with state and federal laws regarding pay, final pay and unemployment information
  • Manage unemployment claims and appeals
  • Compile reports from Ceridian Dayforce HRIS system
  • HRIS Administrator

Other responsibilities as assigned by supervisor

Education/Experience:

Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Language Ability:

Must be able to read and interpret documents; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Math Ability:

Should be able to calculate figures and amounts and apply basic concepts of math.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Should be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; also be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills:

Must have knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.  Knowledge of Ceridian Dayforce a plus.

None required.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job has no supervisory responsibilities.

 

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
