Vice President of Store Operations

Corporate Office (Springfield, MA) • Corporate Position • Reports To CEO/President

 The Vice President of Store Operations will report to the President & CEO of the company and as a key member of the senior management team will participate in both strategic and operational planning. The Vice President of Operations will be charged with maximizing company profits through a coordinated effort of building sales and controlling expenses.

 



Job Description

Essential Duties:

  • Manage multi-store retail environment
  • Develop and direct the District and Territory Managers
  • Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and present suggestions to CEO and senior team for consideration
  • Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity and efficiency throughout the company’s operations
  • Interact regularly with senior team and individual department heads to ensure company’s operational priorities are aligned with total company direction
  • Maintain a solid belief that customer service is the most important business objective
  • Application of strong financial and budgeting skills
  • Implement decisions based on data and statistics
  • Identify market trends, environmental and organizational changes and re-deploy organizational resources to meet new conditions with appropriate consideration to operating cost impact

Other responsibilities as assigned by CEO/President.

Qualifications, Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent from a four-year college; or seven years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Language Ability:

Must be able to read and interpret documents.

 

Math Ability:

Must have strong mathematical and analytical skills.

 

Reasoning Ability:

Should be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists; also be able to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

 

Computer Skills:

Must have experience with Microsoft Powerpoint, Excel, Word and Outlook.

 

Certificates and Licenses:

Must have current, valid driver’s license.

 

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This job supervises the District Managers and Territory Manager.

 

Work Environment:

The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
